If one is looking for a unique place that cannot be found anywhere else in Vietnam, Sapa is just the right choice. Though Vietnam is known for its beach landscape with luxury resort, the mountainous area is no less charming.
Resides at an elevation of 1,600 meters above the sea level, Sapa is a mountainous district in the northwest of Vietnam, located about 38 km from Lao Cai City and 376 km from Ha Noi – the capital city of Vietnam.
Sapa is not a place to look at on pictures – once you come, you will see how reality is even more picturesque than the polished photos. From the terraced rice field to the exciting ethnic lives, from the cool climate to the colorful trek, Sapa is a must-see, must-go and must-experience.
After 9 hour train ride, which you can twist easily with a sound sleep, and another scenic 60 minute bus crawl, you will get to the mountain town of Sapa. Hotels are abundant, as Sapa became a tourist attraction as early as the beginning of 20th century. If you do not feel too rush to get some quick rest, a walk around town at this time of the day is just magnificent. The crowd is not yet out while you can inhale the freshness of early morning air.
Bac Ha market -It is not simply a place for buy and sell but also an opportunity for people from different ethnicities to come and meet, for relatives to reunite after a long time missing, for women to demonstrate their beautiful handmade traditional costumes and even for youngsters to find their dates. To reach the market, many ethnic vendors have to walk a long distance passing moutain and hills. Yet the distance has never discouraged them from joining the Sunday colorful market.

Day 1 : Lao Cai – Sa Pa – Ban Khoang – Ta Phin (B, L, D) – Private tour The bus will arrive sapa station approx at 04:30(we still sleep on the bus until 6am) You will be welcomed by our local guide and transferred to hotel for breakfast,take shower. After breakfast, you will be free to explore the town by yourself. 9:00 A.M– our car will pick up from the town the trekking point. You will trek thru the bamboo and cardamom forest. You will have chance to watch many kinds o birds and animals. After 1h30 trekking, you will stop at Ban Khoang village of black H’mong people. This is a small village with not more than 200 people and out of reach of tourists. Take a rest and have a picnic lunch. After lunch, continue your hiking to Sin Ho and then trek uphill to Ta Phin village. Stay overnight in Red Dzao local house. Day 2: Ta Phin – Sa Pa – Sa Seng – Hau Thao – Ta Van (B, L, D) – Private tour After breakfast, car picks up to the path leading to Sa Seng Village where you will start trekking route along the off-beaten trails thru cardamom forest. From the top of the forest, you will observe the overview of Sa Pa town, cloudy karst mountains as well as Muong Hoa Valley. This place is the home of many different hill tribe people including H’mong, Dzay, Dzao and Tay. Keep your camera ready for photo shoot of local people daily, especially amazing rice terraces. Trek down Hau Thao and Tavan village. We stay overnight and have dinner with a local family. Stay over at Day family. Day 3: Ta Van – Bac Ha market – Giang Tachai (B, L, D) – Group Tour Leave for Bacha Market after your breakfast , Arrive after 3 hours. Free time for visiting one of the most colourfull market in the world. This big market in north west Vietnam filled with many different hill-tribe peoples such as Flower Hmong, Dzay, Tay ..people. At the market, you have chance to enjoy BacHa people's simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches... talking to the minorities through the guide's interpretation. After lunch leave the market for a short walking to see BanPho village where is homeland of flower Hmong. Say good bye to BacHa and get back to Lao Cai Station . On the way back, drop in to see the Vietnamese and Chinese Harbor Mouth in Lao Cai. Transfer up to Sapa, the to our homestay. Day 4: Giang Ta Chai - Su Pan – Thank Kim - Thanh Phu (B, L, D) – Private tour 6- 7hrs trekking with surprises at what you have never seen before In the early morning you will be sure to be woken up by the households but lucky to see how is their daily life for a new day coming! - Enjoy some pancakes made by your tour guide’s skillful hands. - Start a new trek into Hoan Lien Son National Park by more stunning landscapes and other ethnic minority villages dotted further your eyes sigh. Day 5: Thanh Phu – My Son (Xa Pho) – Up to Nam Toong (Red Dzao) – Ban Ho (Tay) (B, L, D) – Private tour 6 – 7 hrs trekking. Challenge on your feet to discover the unexplored areas. - After breakfast, a new trek for us throughout Thanh Phu to My Son, here you will visit, meet and talk with the Xa Pho minority, the least hill tribe of Sapa - Learn more about the Xa Pho group and then up to Nam Toong, a beautiful village of the red Dzap still hidden and really less explored by tourist - Reach Ban Ho village of the Tay minority, here you can refresh up by swimming at the Lavie waterfall. - After lunch in Ban Ho, we continue our trek up to lower Su Pan and our standby car will take us to Sapa,we will take shower,have dinner before take the night sleeping bus at 21:00 to Hanoi.Overnight in the bus.
